The Official College of Pharmacists of Las Palmas will commemorate World Pharmacist Day this Thursday in Arrecife, with an act of recognition to the three centennial pharmacies of the capital of Lanzarote.

It will consist of a guided tour by the official chronicler of Teguise, Francisco Hernández, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. from the pharmacy of Jesús Tenorio, on León y Castillo street 41, in operation since 1916. The tour will continue through the pharmacies of Pedro Medina Rodríguez (1901) and Francisco de Matallana Palomo (1875).

Also, there will be a colloquium at 8:30 p.m. at the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. The event will be presided over, on behalf of the Minister of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, by the General Director of Public Health, Concepción Gil Páez, and will be attended by the Minister of Finance of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Isabel Martín Tenorio.

The colloquium will be presented and moderated by the president of the COF of Las Palmas, Juan Ramón Santana Ayala, and will feature the participation of the head of the Pharmaceutical Regulation Service of the Canary Islands Health Service, Rodolfo Ríos Rull, who will discuss "Actions of the health AAPP in the face of supply problems. Foreign medicines".

The director of the Academy of Formulation and Individualized Medicines and president of the Association of Pharmacies of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Manuel Díaz Feria, will speak about "The master formula as an alternative to the problems of drug supplies"; and Antonio Blanes, technician of the General Council of Pharmaceutical Associations, will discuss "Pharmacists as allies in the face of drug supply problems. The Information Center on Drug Supply".
