The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has extended the orange warning for adverse coastal phenomena for this Sunday in Lanzarote. Thus, it will be extended until midnight on November 5.

Likewise, Aemet has predicted that the strong waves will continue to hit the island from 00.00 hours on Monday until 11.59 am. In this case, as in the rest of the Archipelago, it is at the yellow level, the lowest on the scale.

The combined sea from the northwest will leave waves of between four and five meters also throughout this Monday.

Meanwhile, the Canary Islands are in a state of alert, decreed by the regional government. The Executive has asked the population to stay away from coastal areas these days, avoiding baths and walks in the sea. At the same time, it has recommended that citizens protect their homes against the possibility of flooding.
