The start of the school year in Tías has already begun. More than 2,000 students are starting classes these days for the new year in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and Baccalaureate in five centers in the municipality. A first day that has passed "normally" after the summer holidays and the conditioning work carried out by the council, says the City Council.

José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Education, Miriam Hernández, are pleased with the "adequate conditioning of educational facilities" and express their "gratitude to the management teams, teachers and families", as well as the "workers related to the centers, for their involvement in the proper functioning of the educational system".

The municipality of Tías has three schools and two high schools. The La Asomada-Mácher Center for Early Childhood and Primary Education (CEIP) has 214 students, the CEIP Concepción Rodríguez Artiles (Puerto del Carmen) welcomes 374 and the CEIP Alcalde Rafael Cedrés, 700.

545 students are enrolled in the Tías Secondary Education Institute (IES) and 356 in the Puerto del Carmen IES.

We remind you that the 2023/2024 school year "will end on June 21", concludes the City Council of the municipality.
