The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium has reported this Wednesday that the beaches of La Garita, in Arrieta, and Playa Honda have started flying the red flag.

In the case of Playa Honda, the flag has changed from yellow to red.

It should be remembered that since this Wednesday, Lanzarote has been on yellow alert for wind, with gusts of up to 80 kilometers per hour. However, other islands in the archipelago are also on yellow alert due to the strong waves.

In addition, Lanzarote is also in a state of pre-alert due to the strong wind, declared by the Emergency Department of the Government of the Canary Islands.
