The patient accused of physically assaulting two security guards at the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital denies having attacked anyone: "It's all a lie, it was the other way around." The woman claims to have reported one of the two agents for the incident that occurred during the early hours of March 2 in the center's Emergency Room. Meanwhile, according to the agents' version, the woman allegedly assaulted one of them, while she maintains that it was the opposite.

It was four in the morning when a person claiming to suffer from trigeminal neuralgia went to the hospital's Emergency unit requesting an analgesic, the same one they had been given the day before. According to the patient's version collected by the police, the medical staff offered her a different medication because "it was not convenient" to prescribe the same one two days in a row. The woman, not satisfied, asked to see a hospital manager.

As a result of the refusal of the healthcare staff, she allegedly showed a violent attitude towards the staff. The woman confesses that she punched a wall in a moment of nervousness. It was then that the center's security personnel intervened.

The patient justifies her violent attitude towards the center's furniture and her nervousness due to the severe pain caused by her pathology, which has led her on several occasions to even consider ending her life.

At that moment, according to her statement, the guard allegedly passed behind her, grabbed her from behind, and took her into a small room. The testimony of the center's workers reveals that the woman allegedly slapped and bit one of those guards, whom she also allegedly insulted with racist slurs.

The patient insists that, in that same room, the same security guard immobilized her and grabbed her by the neck. The woman tells La Voz de Lanzarote that she did not slap, knock off glasses, or bite anyone. "That's a lie, he put me in a room, suffocated me, and hit me," she insists. She only points to the attitude of one of the guards, the man, while denying that the female security guard assaulted her.

After what happened, the police went to the center.

According to the injury report presented by the woman, after what happened she had scratches, contractures, and a puncture wound, as well as redness on the backs of her hands, anxiety, and fear. In relation to this event, the medical guideline was to treat the superficial wounds on the back of the hands with betadine and follow-up at the corresponding health center. This report was attached to a complaint filed that same morning with the National Police.

The hospital security agent also presented an injury report after what happened. For their part, the José Molina Orosa Hospital itself and the two security guards reported the patient.

Of the assault accusations, the patient only admits to calling the security guard "black", "in a moment of tension". "Everything should come out in the recordings," she alludes to the center's security cameras.
