In the early morning of last Wednesday, March 2, a woman attacked two security guards at the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital. The clock marked four in the morning, when a patient who claimed to suffer from trigeminal neuralgia burst into the Emergency Room of the health center. The patient demanded to be attended to because of severe pain. However, the health personnel reminded her that there is a waiting list and that there were other patients waiting.
Given the violent attitude of the woman, the health worker who attended her asked for help from the hospital security guards. He tried to neutralize her, but the woman allegedly bit him and shouted racist insults at him, also slapped one of them and threw his glasses to the ground. The National Police came to the scene, alerted by the center. There are no detainees for the alleged attack.
This has not been the first attack suffered by health personnel at the José Molina Orosa hospital. On December 15, agents of the National Police arrested a 43-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of threats. The arrested man was allegedly carrying a knife and threatened the doctor on duty at the center to prescribe more medication. When the security guards intervened, they were also threatened.
