With the sunset of Holy Thursday, the "Paschal Triduum" began. At 7:30 p.m. in the main church of San Ginés, the celebration of the Holy Mass began, presided over by the titular parish priest, Juan Carlos Medina.

With the three naves of the temple packed with parishioners who were very attentive and absorbed, following each of the moments full of symbolism typical of the first day of the "Paschal Triduum."

On Holy Thursday, the Catholic community commemorates the institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper, the moment when Jesus met with the twelve apostles to say goodbye to them before his death.

Another of the symbols is the "Washing of the Feet," a moment in the celebration where the celebrating priest washes the feet of twelve parishioners, a gesture that for the church is a symbol of dedication to others. Holy Thursday is also the day on which the Priesthood and Fraternal Love are instituted, the readings for this celebration, the first corresponds to the book of Exodus, the second is from the first letter of the apostle Saint Paul to the Corinthians and the Gospel according to Saint John.

The songs were enlivened on the piano by Professor Josefina González, directed by José Manuel Clar. The celebration ends with the procession through the interior of the temple, transferring the Blessed Sacrament under a canopy from the celebration table in the Main Altar to the monument to highlight the Eucharist and display it in a solemn way for the adoration of the faithful during the celebration of the Holy Hour.
