King Harald V of Norway has been admitted to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital in Tenerife due to an infection and dehydration, as reported by the Norwegian Royal House in a press release.
The monarch's condition "is, given the circumstances, good," adds the statement.
The Norwegian Royal House has also reported that "the King's personal physician will travel to Tenerife to assist the local medical staff."
"The royal couple is currently on a private stay in Tenerife for their winter holidays," it adds.
"An update on the King's health will be provided during Wednesday, February 25, after the personal physician has evaluated the situation," it concludes without giving further details.
