The Government of the Canary Islands declares a pre-alert for wind in Lanzarote

In addition, maximum temperatures will rise on Thursday, reaching 32 degrees.

The General Directorate of Emergencies has announced the entry into force of the pre-alert for wind in Lanzarote from 6:00 p.m. this Wednesday based on the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

The wind will be moderate with locally strong intervals with gusts that may oscillate between 60 and 80 kilometers per hour. The warning also extends to the islands of Fuerteventura and the southeast and northwest slopes of the islands with greater relief.

The gusts may be even more intense in the municipalities of the southeast and northwest of Gran Canaria; on the southeast coast, in the Teno massif and in high areas of the north of Tenerife; in La Gomera (except the coast of Hermigua, Agulo, Valle Gran Rey and Alajeró); on the southeast coast and the western end of El Hierro; and in the midlands of the west, the high areas, and the summits of La Palma.

As for temperatures, in Lanzarote they will rise this Thursday to reach a maximum of 32 degrees, while on the island of Gran Canaria the pre-alert has been activated for maximum temperatures that may reach 34 degrees in the midlands of the east, south and west of the island.
