Environmental activist Pedro Hernández went this Tuesday to the set of 'Sálvame' to tell Anabel Pantoja what it means for her to celebrate her wedding in La Graciosa.

"Are you coming in peace?" asked presenter Carlota Corredera, since Hernández had been critical of Isabel Pantoja's niece's wedding to Omar Sánchez being held on the eighth island. "What I'm here to do is thank you for making the problem of La Graciosa and hyper-touristed destinations known. You are a thank you, you are a drop of joy in the middle of a desert," the activist said this Tuesday.

These words moved Anabel Pantoja, who ended up crying on the set. "Then I don't understand three days of ecologists, that it endangered the biosphere, the natural parks. I've been having a very bad time for three days," said the 'Sálvame' collaborator. Thus, she thanked Hernández for his words and insisted that she is only going to celebrate a "symbolic act" on the beach, since the celebration will take place "in a house", thus protecting the environment.

"So, I felt powerless that the ecologists, the naturalists and the people of the Canary Islands didn't understand me," added Anabel Pantoja, who explained that for her La Graciosa is "her mental paradise" and a place that she "fell in love with" when she met it four years ago. "I just want to step on that sand that has given me so many beautiful moments and then celebrate it in a house, I'm not going to do anything else," said Isabel Pantoja's niece.

After that, Hernández pointed out the importance of Anabel Pantoja's wedding having generated debate on environmental issues. "You are a person who has a lot of social influence, you are followed by millions of people, and this is a debate that transcends your wedding in La Graciosa," said the activist, who believes that the 'Sálvame' collaborator's wedding has put on the table an issue that until now was "silenced". And, although Pedro Hernández believes that "tourism is necessary", he also defended that "we must take care of the territories" such as the eighth island and pointed out that Anabel Pantoja's wedding was "necessary" "so that this is talked about".
