The Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism have again disinfected the Timanfaya facilities once the positive result of the PCR test performed on a worker has been confirmed, who is already isolated in her home following the guidelines set by the health personnel.
According to the CEO of the Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, the worker began to feel unwell after returning to work, after enjoying a few days off in which she presumably contracted the virus. After undergoing the test and confirming the positive result, she reported the names of the colleagues with whom she had had closer contact, who are already quarantined in their homes "in an exercise of responsibility", and will undergo PCR tests in the coming hours after being contacted by the trackers of the Canarian Health Service.
Benjamín Perdomo emphasizes that the security protocols that they have maintained in their operation during the last months have allowed them to "detect and control this case quickly and stop, thus, the chain of transmission of the virus". The counselor affirms, finally, that the Centers "continue working under the strict compliance of all the current regulations to guarantee a safe experience to its visitors".
