The Arrecife Theme Park has regained its beauty. After the remodeling works were completed, Antonio Machín, delegate councilor of the Cleaning, Neighborhoods, Parks and Gardens Area of the Arrecife City Council, inaugurated this Monday the new children's area, the bathrooms and the fountain that now shine in the park.
During the month it has been closed, the Theme Park has been completely remodeled, creating an additional space of 150 square meters to those that initially existed. This has created the largest park in Lanzarote.
In the works carried out, some of the planters that obstructed the area were removed, expanding the useful space, making it more comfortable and open.
The public restrooms, completely remodeled after the acts of vandalism suffered that left them unusable, will reopen their doors with completely new toilets, faucets, windows and doors for the use of all.
The playground presented a significant deterioration of the toys, as time and acts of vandalism had also ended up rendering them unusable.
Remodeling and new features in furniture
All these remodeling and new features in furniture and design are a consequence of the awareness taken from the Department, last May, due to the great deterioration suffered by the facilities of the Theme Park. It was precisely the Department that developed the reconstruction project, creating a new modern park with state-of-the-art toys and presented with a new rubber and latex pavement (a more hygienic material for this type of enclosure).
The fountain also appears completely remodeled with different intensities of water jets and a striking diversity of colors during nighttime operation. Arrecife can finally enjoy a park for the little ones again.
