The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts intermittent rain for Monday afternoon in Lanzarote, coinciding with the Three Kings' Day parades.
Therefore, all attendees are recommended to bring umbrellas and raincoats for these occasional showers that may be locally intense.
For this Tuesday, cloudy spells are forecast with a low probability of weak, scattered, and occasional rain. Temperatures will remain with little change, with lows of 14 and highs of 17 degrees. Meanwhile, the trade winds will blow with strong gusts.
Recommendations to ensure safety
The Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium issues a series of recommendations for the traditional Three Kings' Day Parade in the island's seven municipalities, aimed at ensuring safety on this day full of excitement.
Measures to consider:
- If you encounter minors or people with difficulties or disabilities, keep an eye on them, make sure they are always close.
- Remember that the main risks are the passage of floats; during the event, remain behind the fences or security cordon.
- Do not enter the street to pick up candy.
- Do not cross the street during the event.
- Do not talk to or make signals that could distract security personnel, escorts, or drivers.
- Avoid positioning yourself in places where you could fall if accidentally pushed (railings, walls, etc.).
- Avoid shouting, running, or pushing others, as this could cause very dangerous situations for other people gathered.
- Do not use pyrotechnic material, nor play with this type of material during the event.
- In case of any incident, do not hesitate to contact the nearest emergency personnel.
