A total of sixteen towns in Lanzarote and La Graciosa are suffering water supply cuts this Tuesday. This is according to information updated by the Water Consortium on the website of Canal Gestión Lanzarote.
In Haría there is no water supply in the town of the same name. Meanwhile, in the municipality of San Bartolomé, the network is without service in the town of San Bartolomé itself, as well as in Güime.
In the town of Las Nieves, as well as in Tao, both in Teguise, there is also no supply. To which is added the town of Pedro Barba, in La Graciosa, which also has no water.
Tinajo is the municipality with the most cuts this Tuesday: El Cuchillo, La Costa, Tajaste, Los Roferos, La Vegueta, Mancha Blanca and Tinguatón. Just six days ago, on June 10, all the towns in the municipality were without supply, with the network completely shut down due to a breakdown.
In the municipality of Tías there is no supply in the town of Mácher. Finally, in the municipality of Yaiza the network is not working in the town center of Yaiza nor in Uga.
A resident of Playa Honda has reported that she has been without supply on Corbeta street since this past Monday. "My cistern is empty. Now to fill it, a fortune," she stated in declarations to La Voz.
The integral water cycle service on the island is currently in the hands of the Lanzarote Water Consortium, a public entity, after taking control from Canal Gestión, following the detection of "serious breaches" in the service.
