As tradition dictates, with the first light of dawn, the ringing of bells announced this Wednesday to the residents of San Bartolomé that the day of their patron saint had arrived.

At 12 noon, with the permitted capacity in the central nave and in the two chapels of the temple, the celebration of the Eucharist began, presided over by Fernando Álvaro García Romero, who came from Albacete and was assisted by the parish priest of San Bartolomé, Francisco José García, and fellow priests Rafael Tejera, Carlos María Marrero, José Manuel Santiago and Juan Carlos Medina.

After the Eucharist, the procession began, led by the Municipal Band and followed by the image of the patron saint San Bartolomé, surrounded by the clergy, civil and military authorities, and parishioners.

The procession made a tour of the main streets of the town, returning again to the church where San Bartolomé was bid farewell by all those present with cheers and applause, thus putting the finishing touch to the festivities in his honor.
