Director Ron Howard and about 400 people from his team completed the filming of the movie "In the Heart of the Sea" this Tuesday afternoon in the Lanzarote town of El Golfo. The last scene was finished recording around 4:00 p.m. and the trucks began to leave El Golfo loaded with material from 5:00 p.m.

The Hollywood filming has been shrouded in great secrecy to prevent part of the film from being leaked. Director Ron Howard also wanted to say goodbye on Twitter, where he has published several images of the last day on the set.

On his Twitter account you can see images of the moon rising on the rocky beach of El Golfo and his own shadow on the black rocks. In addition, Ron Howard has taken the opportunity to comment that it has been an "extraordinary creative experience" and has thanked the work of all those involved.

The filming of this movie in El Golfo began on the 13th and has lasted five days. During this time, access to the Charco de Los Clicos has been restricted. From the Yaiza City Council they have highlighted the "priceless publicity" that this film will bring to Lanzarote, as well as the producer's respect for the environment.
