San Bartolomé celebrated its Carnival parade on Tuesday afternoon. The parade started from the institute and toured Avenida Alcalde Antonio Cabrera Barrera and Rubicón and ended in the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park. The parade had a large audience, who wanted to join this carnival event.
The color, music and rhythm came from the hand of the murgas, batucadas and comparsas that together with the masquerades and groups showed off their fantasies in the parade. Thus, the children's murga Los Retoñitos, Los Guacimetitos and Los Gorfinijos participated; the Afilarmónica Las Revoltosas; the murgas Los Gorfines and Las Atrevidas; the comparsas Sur Caliente and Los Cumbacheros and the Batucada Bentchey.
The groups mingled with the floats that enlivened the Carnival with their varied themes. Los Cumbancheros, Las Revoltosas performed on the stage of the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park, closing the event with the Sur Caliente comparsa.
The Councilor for Festivities, Áurea Mauri, has thanked "the enormous participation of the public and masquerades, especially all those people who individually or in groups were part of the parade, showing off their fantasies, and contributing to its success." "Also words of thanks to the municipal workers, to the groups for their involvement, to the groups that presented themselves in the parade with their floats, perfectly dressed for the occasion, and to the security forces for the work done," she said.
The councilor has invited all citizens to the Carnival parade that will take place next Friday, the 15th, in Playa Honda, starting at 5:00 p.m., with the burial of the Guachinango. The parade will depart from Plaza Santa Elena, touring San Borondón and Princesa Ico streets, ending in the old part of the Avenue with performances by the participating groups.
