Stormy weather in Lanzarote and La Graciosa: rain and dust haze from this Monday

The summer heat that Lanzarote and La Graciosa have been suffering for months with temperatures of more than 30 degrees will give way from this Monday to lower values and the first autumn rains, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

This very Monday, there will be cloudy intervals with a predominance of medium and high clouds, and there will be a low probability of scattered and occasional precipitation accompanied by thunderstorms at the end of the day. In addition, the island has woken up with light haze, although it cannot be ruled out that it may be more significant at dusk.

Minimum temperatures will have few changes, and maximum temperatures will be slightly higher in the northeast, with values between 21 and 29 degrees. The wind will generally blow lightly from the north, more intensely in the east in the afternoon.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, there will be cloudy intervals with a low probability of scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms in the afternoon. The haze will continue to be present, and minimum temperatures will have few changes, while maximum temperatures will be slightly lower inland, ranging between 23 and 26 degrees. The wind will blow lightly from the northeast, more intensely in the afternoon.

As for Wednesday, cloudy skies are expected with intervals of clouds, although without probability of rain. Temperatures will remain with maximums of 27 degrees.

Regarding Thursday, the forecast points to cloudy intervals with scattered and occasional showers. Temperatures will experience few changes, with minimums between 19 and 20 degrees and maximums of 28. The wind will blow from the northeast.

According to the State Meteorological Agency, on Friday, rain will continue to be probable and is expected to be light and scattered.
