The people of Lanzarote were surprised at noon this Saturday by a small tornado that could be seen from different points of the island, especially from Tahíche and Teguise.
In addition, in several areas of the island such as Masdache, Teguise, Mala, Arrieta and Tinajo it has hailed heavily, leaving an unusual white blanket on the ground. The rain also fell heavily and the storm was accompanied by thunder.
In the north of the island is where the most water has fallen, causing the ravines to run and even overflowing spectacularly as in Los Valles.
Lanzarote is on pre-alert for rain this Saturday, with heavy rain expected in the central hours of the day. From 4:00 p.m. the conditions are expected to improve, according to the Emergency Consortium.
