Pre-alert declared for wind and waves for Lanzarote

The warnings will be activated from the evening of this Wednesday and will be active during this Thursday

 The General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands has declared a pre-alert situation for wind and waves throughout the Autonomous Community starting on the evening of Wednesday, January 26. The Government points out that it has been activated "based on the prediction of AEMET and other available sources and in application of the Specific Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands due to risks of adverse meteorological phenomena."

In Lanzarote, moderate to strong northeast wind is expected, with a low probability of occasionally very strong gusts in the north and east and west slopes with gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour. As for the sea, there will be force 6.

For this Thursday there will be intervals of high clouds in general, with intervals of low clouds in the first half of the day and tending to clear skies in the last hours.
