The second season of the reality show Discovering Canary Islands, which premieres on January 26 and has been produced by Rakuten TV, takes Arrecife to be promoted throughout Europe, specifically in 42 European countries.

The adventure contest, presented by Pilar Rubio, premieres its first program on the island, and has focused on hosting several scenarios of the capital of Lanzarote: the Castle of San Gabriel and the Charco de San Ginés, among other locations.

Discovering Canary Islands is an initiative of Turismo de Canarias, which will promote the eight islands through an adventure program that will be broadcast in 42 European countries and has Pilar Rubio as presenter.

The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, accompanied Pilar Rubio and the entire team during filming. This is how he values that this reality show will "boost" the international projection of the city, Lanzarote and the Canary Islands during this 2024. For the capital's mayor, this broadcast will "reinforce" the destination of Arrecife this year coinciding with the commemoration of the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife.

For the Councilor for Tourism, Commerce and Sports of Arrecife, Eli Merino, the broadcast of this chapter, in so many countries in Europe, "will reinforce the image of the destination of Arrecife and Lanzarote in this 2024." For the city, this broadcast "comes to strengthen the good statistical data where in 2023 the average daily rate in tourist accommodation in the capital, exceeded, last November, the first month of the winter tourist season, for the first time in its history one hundred euros, specifically reaching 100.81 euros", according to data from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (Istac). With these figures, Arrecife has "surpassed" other solid tourist destinations in Lanzarote, they conclude.

Also Pilar Rubio herself has reminded the public and her followers on Instagram of the appointment to see the contest and so that no one misses it. "Save the date because on January 26 we return to the Canary Islands to make you experience them with the most powerful reality game of the winter: the second season of Discovering Canary Islands!.
