The National Police celebrated on October 2nd a commemorative event for the Holy Guardian Angels, patrons of the Corps, in Arrecife.

The ceremony served to recognize the trajectory and work of the agents, but also to highlight the collaboration they maintain with other administrations, Security Forces and Corps, emergency services, and different groups from both islands.

In Arrecife, the celebration took place at the Castillo de San José. The presidential table was formed by the insular director in Lanzarote, Pedro Viera Espinosa; the chief inspector and acting head of the Arrecife Local Police Station, David Patiño Mingoya; and the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan Jesús de León Machín.

One of the central moments of the ceremony was the awarding of six decorations to National Police agents, granted in recognition of their trajectory and the work carried out throughout their professional careers.

Likewise, various awards and recognitions were presented to representatives of institutions and groups for their collaboration and support of police work, including members of the Local Police, health sector officials, and airport officials. With these recognitions, the National Police wished to emphasize the importance of permanent collaboration and coordination with institutions and public services, which is fundamental to ensuring an effective response to the needs of citizens.
