Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa informs that the supply system continues to recover after the significant disruptions caused by the energy blackout registered in the early hours of Saturday, which caused the stoppage of water production, forcing numerous maneuvers in the networks to preserve available reserves.

From the entity, they explain that "at first hour this Sunday, the situation presents a generalized recovery of the service, although differences still exist between municipalities and some areas need several hours to reach their usual pressure and flow conditions".

Situation by municipalities

Arrecife. The supply is normalized. During the early hours of the morning, pressure will gradually increase until it reaches the usual service levels during the day.

Tías. The municipality is also in service. In the Tías area, pressure will also recover its usual values during the early hours of the morning.

Yaiza. The opening initially planned for the night was delayed as a consequence of the extraordinary incident suffered by the system. At this time, the opening maneuvers have already begun, so the supply will gradually recover over the next few hours.

San Bartolomé. The municipality is in service, although low pressure problems may persist temporarily in some areas of the San Bartolomé area while the network finishes stabilizing.

Tinajo. The supply continues according to the schedule planned in the published calendar.

Teguise. It is the municipality where some areas still remain to be fully recovered. Since early this morning, opening maneuvers have been carried out in Tao, Tiagua, Soo, Muñique, Nazaret, and Teguise, where the networks will progressively reach their usual pressure in the coming hours. In Nazaret, recovery is being slower.

La Caleta de Famara has been open since Saturday afternoon, although still with reduced flow, which will increase as the network stabilizes.

Los Valles, Teseguite, and El Mojón remain pending, whose supply openings are planned for the afternoon, provided that the system's evolution allows it.

Haría. All the nuclei of the municipality have been open since Saturday night, although occasional variations may still occur while the network finishes stabilizing.

Reserves remain very tight

Despite the recovery achieved since the desalination plants were put into operation, reserve levels in the main Zonzamas reservoirs remain very tight.

For this reason, it is likely that during this day it will be necessary to maintain permanent monitoring of these levels and to balance the recovery of the different networks with the entry of water into the reservoirs.

If the evolution of reserves so requires, new temporary maneuvers may be necessary in some areas from midday onwards to favor the recovery of storage levels. In the event that measures affecting supply need to be adopted, their evolution will be reported through the Information Portal.

Due to the extraordinary and changing nature of this incident, the usual schedule of programmed suspensions does not necessarily reflect all the effects derived from the energy blackout and the subsequent system recovery maneuvers.

Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa recommends continuing to make responsible use of water during this day, especially while the reserves in the main reservoirs are being recovered.

Aguas de Lanzarote y La Graciosa thank the population "for the understanding, patience, and collaboration maintained since the beginning of this incident and especially recognize the effort of the operators and all the service workers, who have worked continuously since the energy blackout to recover production, pumping, reservoirs, and networks and to progressively restore supply in Lanzarote and La Graciosa".
