The residents of Masdache have called on the population of Lanzarote to attend a demonstration that will take place on October 25 at 12:00 noon in the vicinity of the town's court on Camino Juan Bello, in Tías.
With this mobilization, the population seeks to request the removal of the communication tower installed in Masdache, due to neighborhood concerns about "the visual and landscape impact, in addition to the fear of the effects of radiation on health, especially that of the youngest children."
In a press release issued this Friday, they stated that the purpose of this action is none other than to urge the competent authorities to evaluate and remove the installed communication tower, in compliance with the precautionary principle and the right to a safe environment.
The route will be from the town's court to the Masdache Teleclub.
Thus, they have reported that they have formally notified the competent authorities, guaranteeing the "peaceful and orderly nature of the mobilization."
