The Salvamar Talía has rescued two new precarious boats east of Órzola on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 7.
According to initial reports, one of the inflatable boats would have 52 people and the other 67, detailed the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium. These two boats have already arrived in Puerto Naos where they have been assisted by Red Cross volunteers. One of the occupants had to be transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital for different pathologies.
The Emergency Consortium has had to send 25 mattresses to the tent because it is overwhelmed and it is the fourth time that, given the State's situation of not being able to assist irregular migrants on its own, the Cabildo, through the Security and Emergency Consortium, helps.
