Maritime Rescue has rescued a boat, a type of inflatable boat, that was adrift about 25 miles off the coast of Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

After a notice was received this Saturday of the departure from Tan Tan, a city in southern Morocco located in front of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, of a barge with migrants, the Sasemar 103 began reconnaissance flights in the area from the early hours of this Sunday, as reported by EFE.

Once rescued, they have been transferred to the Commercial dock of the capital of Lanzarote where they have been assisted by the Red Cross.

There were 54 people on board, including 4 women, one of them pregnant, and two minors, all of sub-Saharan origin. The pregnant woman has been transferred to Molina Orosa to assess her condition.
