The Talía coast guard rescued 64 migrants this Monday morning, January 6, who were traveling in a small boat near the coast of Lanzarote, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
Among the occupants of the boat are 16 women and four minors whose origin is unknown at the moment. They have been transferred to Puerto Naos in Arrecife where they have been cared for by Red Cross volunteers. 6 transfers have had to be made to the Molina Orosa Hospital for various pathologies.
With this, there are already eight boats that have arrived on the island in this new year.
