The Social and Cultural Association for Women, Mararía, has received a donation for the sale of the book 'From my bathtub'. Its author, Gemma García Acosta, from Lanzarote, has thus responded to her commitment to benefit the Food Bank with a part of the income obtained from the commercialization of the publication.
The collection of poems, an emotional and emotional introspection into childhood in Lanzarote, the youth stay in Paris and daily and adult life in Alfaix (Almería), told in brief pills of deep lyricism, can still be purchased on the Amazon platform, El Corte Inglés and in Lanzarote at the El Puente Bookstore.
In the words of Gemma García, “the collection of poems is born from the vital need to write, to express my feelings in words in an unbridled and agile way, without cutting or pasting any new thought... Nothing has been retouched or corrected to keep present the origin of my incessant writing. It has no influences because it is a vital reflection and an inner search and encounter through poetry, to relieve mind and heart”.
The Mararía association has expressed its gratitude to the writer, “whose connection with the entity and with the feminist movement is manifested once again, now with a very valuable donation for women victims and their families and especially in these difficult times”.
