Luis Blas Cabrera discovered that he was the grandson of the illustrious Canarian scientist Blas Cabrera while studying Physics in Madrid. This fact, which could have remained anecdotal, however, turned Luis into one of the greatest defenders of his grandfather's lost legacy, which he tried to recover for decades. Today, at 78 years of age, his death has been reported, culminating a life dedicated to his family, architecture, physics and the restoration of memory.
Luis was born in 1947 in Madrid. His father Luis Cabrera Sánchez-Real (son of Blas Cabrera) had been settled in the capital for several years, specifically in what had been the family home of the illustrious Canarian scientist. He had spent the last seven years recovering from the Civil War, in which he had to actively participate alongside the national side. Luis was born in the same house where Blas Cabrera spent much of his adult life, but he never met his grandfather.
