The Volunteer Firefighters of Lanzarote and Civil Protection of Tías are traveling this Friday to the island of Tenerife to carry out some intensive training days with the Volunteer Firefighters of Adeje, which will last until Sunday, January 22nd.
During these three days of training, topics of firefighting, extrication in traffic accidents, self-protection and prevention training, and high-altitude rescue will be taught.
The general objective of these intensive training days is to "develop skills among the different groups of volunteers through the knowledge of the safety aspects that must be taken into account in emergencies", according to reports from the organization.
Training Schedule
The training program that the Volunteer Firefighters will carry out will be distributed over three days. This Friday, training will begin with theory on high-altitude rescue and, subsequently, they will carry out practices to implement the theory taught.
On Saturday, they will continue with fire and confined space practices and will end the training day with traffic accident and stabilization practices.
Finally, on Sunday, which will be the last day, the Volunteer Firefighters will carry out extrication practices.
The Lanzarote Volunteer Firefighters team wants to "thank the Volunteer Firefighters of Adeje and the Tías City Council" for collaborating with them and offering more training to the volunteers of their organization.
