Angelina González Quintero (Lila), from Lanzarote, who is about to turn 101 years old, was “happy” last Friday after being immunized against the coronavirus, which she is proud of.

This resident of Mancha Blanca in the municipality of Tinajo, received the second dose of the vaccine last Friday from healthcare workers from the San Bartolomé vaccination team, according to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.

Lila made that craft in the sewing workshop that her mother, Angelina Quintero, set up, with whom she sewed various garments to survive among so much hardship.

In 2018, at the age of 98, she was the town crier of the San Roque festivities, in Tinajo, in whose church she married in 1940 when she was 19 years old. At that time, she stated that she had the sensation of having “lived a lot”, experiencing “very complicated moments and, of course, also happy moments, although I think there have been more bad than good ones.”
