The president of Unidos Por Lanzarote (UPL), Laureano Álvarez, attended as invited judge to the monographic that the American Presa Canario Club held on October 22 in the state of Missouri, in the United States. Laureano's knowledge and experience in breeding and educating this breed have earned him international recognition.
Laureano points out upon his return the "great level" of the "80 specimens" that competed in the monographic. "The Presa Canario is a breed that captivates everyone who comes to know it and right now the expansion of these dogs is a reality," Laureano comments upon his return. "I felt at home," he adds.
During his visit, which lasted five days, he was able to see how "the Presa Club was growing in popularity and affection," Laureano highlights. "It was very nice to see our dogs stepping on American fields. Of course, at all times I saw the admiration that our breed generates in those who decide to adopt a Presa as another member of the family," he clarifies.
"The truth is that the Presa Canario is gradually becoming one of the most popular guard breeds among experts who see in this pet an exceptional dog in loyalty and intelligence," Laureano concludes.
