Las Cucharas beach has had to be closed to swimming this Tuesday "due to contamination", according to the Security and Emergency Consortium, which has announced the raising of the red flag on the main beach of Costa Teguise.
The beach has been especially punished by the storm, as the ravine that reaches this point of the coast has run, mixing with the sea water.
In addition, there has also been a significant sewage spill at the same point that was reported two weeks ago by residents of the area.
