Rally in Arrecife for women's rights

Last Thursday afternoon, a rally against Gender Violence took place in Arrecife. On Calle Real in the capital of Lanzarote, in front of the Casa Amarilla, men and women gathered to demonstrate against "the threat posed to women's rights by the entry of the extreme right into political bodies."

A rally organized throughout the Spanish territory by the 7N Platform, under the slogan 'Not a step back in the conquered rights', in which the people of Lanzarote wanted to highlight the progress that has been made and to vindicate the importance of not losing all the rights that currently exist.

The demonstration was attended by residents of the city, different feminist social and cultural associations such as 'Mararía', as well as some political figures from the island such as the Senator, Manuel Fajardo Palarea and the Councilor for Social Welfare and Social Rights, Marciano Acuña.
