Lanzarote and La Graciosa, which are under a yellow alert for strong winds, registered gusts of up to 85 kilometers per hour on Monday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

Specifically, it was Lanzarote Airport that registered these 85 kilometers per hour at 12:00 PM on Monday. The rest of the day, the gusts remained around 70 kilometers per hour.

In the northern area, Haría also suffered intense wind gusts, although not as strong as in other places on the island. In the northern municipality, 60 kilometers per hour were reached, a figure that was also repeated in the town of Tías.

Regarding La Graciosa, the wind blew with less intensity, with gusts that remained around 55 kilometers per hour.

As for the southern area of Lanzarote, in Playa Blanca it was where the wind was least felt, leaving gusts of up to 45 kilometers per hour, according to Aemet.

The yellow alert for strong winds of up to 70 kilometers per hour will end at 11:59 AM this Tuesday. In addition, Lanzarote and La Graciosa are on pre-alert for heat today due to temperatures that can reach 32 degrees.
