The heat episode that has been affecting Lanzarote and La Graciosa since this Tuesday will extend, at least, until next Saturday. Given this situation, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow warning for high temperatures from 11:00 a.m. this Tuesday, which will continue until Thursday at least, and the warning of the same color for haze from 9:00 p.m. tonight.

The suspended dust will leave a visibility of 3,000 meters and concentrations may exceed 200 micrograms per cubic meter, which may generate or aggravate health problems for people with chronic and/or respiratory diseases. The yellow warning for haze will remain until 11:59 p.m. this Wednesday.

For the day of this Tuesday, temperatures are already expected to reach 34 degrees in different points of the island's orography. The minimums, for their part, will be between 21 and 23 degrees. Likewise, on Wednesday temperatures will continue to be high with values up to 34 degrees.

On Thursday temperatures will increase a little more, with values reaching 36 degrees in areas of the interior of the island such as Tías. In the rest, temperatures will range between 31 degrees in the north and 34 in the south.

As for Friday, the heat episode will continue to affect Lanzarote. Temperatures will continue to be high, with maximum temperatures of up to 35 degrees and minimums between 22 and 24, as well as Saturday, where these 35 degrees will continue to be recorded. On Sunday the values will begin to drop, with maximums of 31 degrees and minimums between 21 and 22.
