Arrecife prepares to live Easter in style in all its neighborhoods, where the neighbors will raise on their shoulders San Ginés, Santa María de La Vega, San José Obrero, San Francisco Javier, San Antonio María Claret and Our Lady of Carmen.
Saint Ginés
This Friday, March 27, the capital will celebrate the Eucharist in honor of San Ginés at 7:30 p.m. in the parish, while on Saturday 28 there will be the other Eucharist. On Palm Sunday at 11:30 a.m. will be the Eucharist and the blessing of the palms or procession (there is no mass at 12:30 p.m.).
On Holy Monday and Tuesday at 19:00 hours will be the Holy Rosary and at 19:30 hours the Eucharist both days, while on Holy Wednesday at 19:00 hours the Holy Rosary will be celebrated and the Eucharist at 19:30. At 20:00 will take place the Procession of the Encounter with the sermon in the Plazuela and accompanied by the Music Band.
Regarding Maundy Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. will be the celebration of the Lord's Supper. On Good Friday at 11:00 a.m. will be the interparochial Way of the Cross and at 7:30 p.m. the celebration of the Lord's Passion and the Holy Burial procession. At 10:00 p.m. will be the Fervorín of the Sorrowful Mother and procession of Solitude around Las Palmas square.
For its part, on Holy Saturday at 21:00 hours will be the Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday at 11:00, 12:30 and 19:30 hours will be the Eucharists.
Saint Anthony Mary Claret (Altavista)
On Saturday, March 28 at 18:00 hours will be the Blessing of palms and the Eucharist. On Holy Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 18:00 hours will be celebrated the Stations of the Cross in the church and at 18:30 the Eucharist. On Holy Saturday at 18:00 hours will be the Easter Vigil.
Our Lady of Carmen (Valterra)
Palm Sunday will take place at the Eucharist at 11:30 hours. For its part, on Holy Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be the Way of the Cross at 19:00 hours and the Eucharists at 19:30. Already on Good Friday the neighborhood will enjoy at 20:30 the Procession of Solitude.
Holy Saturday will be the Easter Vigil at 19:30 hours and on Easter Sunday the Eucharist will be at 11:30.
Saint Mary of La Vega and Saint Francis Xavier
In La Vega, this Friday, March 27, the Way of the Cross will be in the church at 7:00 p.m., while on Saturday 28 in San Francisco Javier the Eucharist will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. In La Vega it will be at 7:00 p.m.
On Palm Sunday at 11:30 hours, the Blessing of palms will take place in the church and the Eucharist in La Vega. Already on Holy Tuesday, at 18:00, Saint Francis Xavier will live the Meditation, exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and the Eucharist.
Regarding Holy Wednesday, the Eucharist will take place at 6:00 p.m., while on Good Friday at 11:00 a.m. the interparochial Way of the Cross will be celebrated in San Ginés and the Sermon of the Seven Words. On Holy Saturday at 7:00 p.m. will be the Solemn Easter Vigil and, finally, on Easter Sunday will be the Easter Eucharist at 11:30.
Saint Joseph the Worker (Titerroy)
On Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. will be the Meditation, the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and the Eucharist. On Friday, March 27 at 6:00 p.m. will be the Eucharist, while on Palm Sunday at 10:00 a.m. will be the Blessing of palms in the church and Eucharist.
On Holy Wednesday, the Via crucis will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. in the church, and on Good Friday at 11:00 a.m. will be the interparochial Via crucis in San Ginés and Sermon of the Seven Words. At 5:30 p.m. the residents will enjoy the celebration of the Passion of the Lord.
On Holy Saturday at 21:00 hours will be the Solemn Easter Vigil and, finally, the Easter Eucharist on Easter Sunday at 10:00 hours.
