José Luis Aparicio Morales, one of the great references of Canarian wrestling on the island of Lanzarote, has died at the age of 79. Throughout his life he was linked to the vernacular sport, especially at the Tao Wrestling Club where he was president and secretary.
From CL Tao they regret his death and point out that "we have just lost a great person, honest, committed to society, responsible, cultured etc. Canarian Wrestling in general and the Tao Wrestling Club has lost a great "Puntal", who although he could not wear the wrestling clothes due to his physical problems, gave a large part of his life in a totally altruistic and disinterested way to the administrative and management tasks of our sport (Regional Federation, Lanzarote Island Federation, Tao Wrestling Club and with all the Clubs and wrestlers in general)".
In 2016 his club paid him a heartfelt tribute, a date that according to José Luis himself he will not erase from his mind as long as he lives since they had managed to make him very happy and at the same time that he would always be in debt for so many expressions of affection and affection received".

"He felt especially proud that his father, Francisco Manuel Aparicio Bonilla, was one of the three people who founded the Tao Wrestling club and that he transmitted to him the love for his town and for his team", they add from the club.
They also remember that "one of his great achievements was to put in writing the history of our club with the collaboration of Bernardo Bravo Martín in the book on the occasion of the 75th anniversary".
"Physically you leave us, but not, in our memory and heart since you leave us a great legacy. Rest in peace".
From 12 hours this Sunday he will be veiled in the Teguise Funeral Home and the burial is scheduled for this Monday at 12 hours
