The former Argentine soccer player and coach, Jorge Valdano, is in Lanzarote to enjoy a few days of vacation with his family. Valdano has chosen Playa Blanca in the south of the island to rest.
Jorge Valdano Castellanos was proclaimed world champion with Argentina in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, he played as a forward and his first team was Newell's Old Boys. As a coach he developed his entire career in Spain, directing Club Deportivo Tenerife, Valencia C. F., Real Madrid, Deportivo Alavés and Real Zaragoza. In addition, he is a sports commentator for radio and television in Spain.
