Students from the 1993 class of IES Las Salinas have reunited 30 years later within the walls that saw them grow and develop. "At that time it was the Las Salinas Public School," notes one of the former students and organizer of the meeting, Marcial Avero.
"Despite having met in WhatsApp groups and other social networks with 42 people, we finally managed to have 33 attend. There were colleagues who came from Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Asturias, Málaga, Ibiza and Madrid," explains Avero.
During the meeting, the former students visited several emblematic corners of the building. "We went to the area where the group photos were taken and we were also in the classrooms. Then we all went to eat at the casino," recounts the organizer of the reunion.
"With some colleagues who are on the island, we have seen each other, but there were also some who, even residing on the island, we had not seen in all this time. And with those who were outside the same, 30 years without seeing each other," Avero points out.
The meeting left all attendees with "desire for more" due to the good time they had. "Personally, I still needed to talk to a lot of people. So much time has passed and we talk about what we have studied, what we do, if we have started a family... Now through the WhatsApp group we are planning another one to sit down and talk well with everyone," concludes the former student of IES Las Salinas.
