Lanzarote registers this Sunday two new positive cases of covid provisionally, as reported by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands.
On the other hand, it indicates that the Lanzarote Health Services Management will carry out a screening next Tuesday, December 22, of the entire educational community of the San Bartolomé Secondary Education Institute after detecting a high presence of the coronavirus in the analyzes carried out on the wastewater analyzed in the center.
This Monday, the informed consents will begin to be delivered for the authorization of the parents to be able to carry out the PCR tests on the underage students of the center and thus be able to know the extent of the infections and activate, where appropriate, the necessary protocols.
This screening seeks to prevent a possible extension of COVID-19 and act quickly. However, the Ministry of Health recalls that in the previous screening carried out after similar results in wastewater in Lanzarote, the population screening only gave 2 confirmed positives by PCR.
