The Haría Town Council will name the northern photographer Javier Reyes as Adopted Son of the municipality. An announcement made by the mayoress Evelia García during the presentation of the Month of the Elderly in March project.

García explained that it is "in recognition of a unique career in the artistic, cultural and patrimonial world of the municipality and the Island."

"Javier Reyes has carried in his reels for decades the history of Haría and Lanzarote and La Graciosa throughout the Canary Islands and therefore we firmly believe that he deserves it," the mayoress remarked.

The Consistory has already started the procedures and in a few weeks the plenary session will be held where the distinction will be approved and later a public act will be held.
