The VIV Haría Youth Cultural and Festivities Association paid tribute to Radio Lanzarote for its 50th anniversary last Wednesday during the festivities of San Juan Bautista, patron saint of the municipality.
Attendees were able to enjoy a mythical and remembered program broadcast on Radio Lanzarote in the 1970s, called "Lanzarote va de Ronda", this time from the Haría square. The event had the collaboration of Francisco José Navarro, presenter and host of the same for years.
It was a program with a duration of three hours where listeners congratulated their family and friends, and to which some resorted to carry out the odd declaration of love.
During the recreation, many of the municipality's residents even dared to call live to dedicate some songs, as happened in the original program. Some themes that materialized with the performances full of ease and humor of the collaborators, imitating famous people such as David Civera, Jennifer López or the Trío Zapatista, among others.
The scenography of Alberto Perdomo stood out in the act, a resident of the town who managed "the recreation of a radio control of the time, where no detail was missing, from the broadcast table, to the cassette or revox".
