Four immigrants, two of them deceased, who were traveling in the boat that wrecked in Órzola have tested positive for Covid-19, according to La Voz from health sources.

For their part, the neighbors who rescued the immigrants have tested negative in the first test. However, those who had closer contact with them must remain in isolation for ten days until the second test is carried out to confirm that they have not been infected.

The event occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in a rocky area near the Órzola dock, and it was the shouts that alerted the neighbors and emergency services, who were precisely in the area to carry out the transfer of the immigrants who arrived during the morning to La Graciosa.

About 20 people, including some young people from the area, jumped into the water and managed to rescue 28 people alive. On Tuesday night, four bodies were located and on Wednesday morning another four bodies were rescued.
