The Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands has suspended teaching and extracurricular activity this afternoon in non-university education centers in the Canary Islands, given the risk situation due to adverse weather phenomenon due to wind.

The measure is adopted at the proposal of the General Directorate of Emergencies of the regional Executive, which keeps the corresponding specific plan activated in the alert phase, and seeks to avoid exposure and displacement of members of the educational community.

The Territorial Directorates have already contacted the management teams of the educational centers to inform them of this situation and to communicate it to the families.
