Dozens of Lanzarote residents attended the demonstration for the rights of the LGTBI community called by the Lánzate association last Saturday.

Under the slogan "Conejero Pride", the group and various public officials began the march at 7:00 p.m. at the Cabildo of Lanzarote, and then toured the streets of the capital until reaching the Plaza del Almacén. Once there, the manifesto of the organizing association was read. In addition, the march was enlivened by the Guaracheros troupe.

On some of the banners created by the protesters, phrases such as "Canary Islands 1 hour less, 100 years of progress" could be read, as well as messages where they asked for more health rights for the LGTBI+ community.

"Taking so long to be able to hormonize myself is equal to personal harm," said one of the posters.
