A dinghy with ten people arrives at dawn in the Los Cocoteros area

The arrival raises to four the vessels detected in Lanzarote in recent days

A boat with about ten people arrived around 00:48 on Saturday, July 11, at the Los Cocoteros pond, according to the Emergency Consortium.

It was a local resident who alerted the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) to the arrival of the vessel.

After the alert, agents from the Guardia Civil, Local Police, and Red Cross went to the location. Their condition is currently unknown.

With this, there are four irregular boats that have arrived in Lanzarote so far this week. On Monday, July 6, 53 people were rescued, including five minors and three women, while on Wednesday, July 8, 148 people were rescued, 122 in a single inflatable boat.

In total, 211 migrant people have arrived on the island, including women and minors.
