Covid leaves 19 deaths in three days in the Canary Islands

Health has also reported 1,336 new positives since Tuesday among people over 60 years of age

The Canary Islands has added 19 deaths of patients with Covid in the last three days, which is the highest figure since the new phase of the pandemic began. The deceased were between 65 and 97 years old, and 13 of them came from Gran Canaria, 5 from Tenerife and one from Fuerteventura.

Currently, in the Archipelago there are 450 people admitted with coronavirus, of which 29 are in the ICU and the rest, 421, in the ward. 

In addition, since Tuesday there have been 1,336 new positives among people over 60 years of age, which is the only age group that is still being monitored.

The Cumulative Incidence for this age group at 14 days stands at 1,336.73 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 7 days at 545.92, which represents a decrease compared to the peak that was reached two weeks ago.
