Covid-19 did not prevent the residents of the seaside neighborhood of Valterra from honoring their patron saint, Nuestra Señora del Carmen.

As in previous years and respecting the security measures, the events began at 07:00 hours, with the opening of the doors of the Church. Then the "Salve Marinera" was sung to continue with the praying of the rosary.

At 11:30 a.m. and presided over by the parish priest, Nicanor Bermúdez, the Solemn Eucharist began with a capacity inside the Church for 90 people. All attendees were protected by masks and used the corresponding gel at the entrance.

On such a special day and so that the devotees of the Virgin who for work reasons could not attend the first celebration, a second mass was held at 7:30 p.m., completing the capacity. In addition, the Church remained open throughout the day so that all those who wanted to could visit the Virgin.
