Firefighters carried out a fire drill at the CEIP Playa Honda school this Tuesday at approximately 12:34 p.m., as reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium.
Once at the scene and before carrying out the drill, the school principal informed them of the fire situation and the existence of a person still inside. After gathering the information, they installed hoses to the supposed fire, which was located on the upper floor of the center, in one of the classrooms, where that person was also located. Once rescued, they transferred the person to the Civil Protection ambulance to be attended to.
After completing the exercise, the emergency personnel proceeded to ventilate the area and declared the drill finished, with the students returning to the classrooms.
During the drill, the Local Police of San Bartolomé, who were in the area to facilitate access, and Civil Protection collaborated.
